1^st Congress of Polish Joinery

The Polish joinery industry is entering the premier league of the European economy. If today we are the biggest exporter of joinery, where will we arrive at in a year or in 5 or in 10 years? How will markets and technology development influence the position of particular segments and companies of the industry? Those questions will be soon answered during seminars of the 1^st Congress of Polish Joinery (Kongres Stolarki Polskiej), which will be held on February 24-25, 2010 in Sosnowiec during the greatest Silesian construction event.

The Congress agenda includes presentation of the most recent results of works of research and development divisions, research institutes and construction offices of the most famous European companies and institutions. In cooperation with Building Research Institute in Warsaw, Institute for Window Technique in Rosenheim (IFT Rosenheim), Glass Performance Days in Tampere and the Institute of Glass and Ceramics in Krakow we organize a review of the state-of-the-art solutions and implementations in the field of glass, fittings, sections, accessories and machinery for production of windows and facades. In cooperation with the Polish National Energy Conservation Agency and the European Commission we will show the irreversible direction of changes in the legislation of the EU countries which offer great opportunities for each company in our industry. In cooperation with foreign commercial chambers as well as trade and construction companies associations we will organize meetings of our manufacturers and partners from other countries.

The 1^st Congress of Polish Joinery is aimed at acquainting companies owners and managers with direction of changes which we will experience in a year or in 5 or 10 years. We will end the Congress with development of a report for authorities of our country and with an appeal for supporting thermal upgrading actions favorable to the Polish construction industry. We hope all who care about stable development of windows and facades industry in our country will attend.
